Classic "Corner the Market" Card Game. The original version was produced by Parker Brothers in 1919. After the Stock Market Crash of 1929 it fell out of favor (oddly enough) for many years but was resurrected in the late 1960's. It was out of print again during the 1980's until the mid 1990's when Winning Moves released it again
Pit is a loud and raucous family favorite, so we don't recommend it for a quiet night at the Bed and Breakfast!
Shout your deal and trade your cards to "corner" the market. Be the first to get all the cards of one commodity, ring the bell, and you'll win the hand. You'll feel like a trader in the pits of the exchange!
Beware of the Bear and take your chances with the Bull.
OBJECT
To be the first player to score a total of 500 points. This usually takes several hands of play. In each hand, you’ll try to "corner" the market on one of the following commodities: Barley, Corn, Coffee, Oranges, Oats, Soy, Sugar, or Wheat. You’ve cornered a market when you have in your hand all 9 cards of the same commodity.
