The clue giver will give 3 clues, one at a time (each player has their own booklet with different words and 3 clues for each word). When it's your turn, you pick up a card from the 'dirty mess' pile. The clue giver reads you your first clue from their booklet.
Clue #1: "It's a four letter word that ends in -IT."
You now have a chance to guess an answer. The first guess has no penalty if you get it wrong.
The clue giver tells you if you're right or wrong. If you're right, you would take 3 cards from the Dirty Mess pile. If you got it wrong, then you get the second clue.
"The more you do it, the smaller your balls get."
If you get it right on the second clue, you take 2 cards from the dirty mess. If you guess wrong, you have to put one of your cards back into the dirty mess pile.
Clue #3: " You have to put your tool in and out."

If no one guesses the answer on the 3rd clue, then clue giver would read aloud the answer, which in this case is... "knit."
