The Mystic Soothsayer is a limited production board produced by the
Drueke Company of Ludington Michigan.
This board was first introduced in the 1940's by Drueke in their Grand Rapids Michigan location. It was out of production from the late 1940's until 2001.
The Drueke Company has been making quality wooden games (they were the first American company to manufacture chess sets) since 1916.
The current Mystic Soothsayer is
an exact replica of the original, down to the astrological depictions in the corners and solid wood maple construction. This is the only "wooden" Ouija type board currently available, outside of custom-made (and far pricier) boards.
These boards were manufactured last year as a promo and limited to a run of 1200. They are not listed in the Drueke catalog and cannot be found in stores. We have purchased the few remaining boards directly from Drueke, after naturally snagging one for our personal collection.
They come complete with wooden planchette and directions.
Drueke has even reproduced the same instructions which were included with the original Mystic Soothsayer in 1944.
Board measures 18" x 11" x 1/4 inch thick.
High Quality. High Style. High Coolness Quotient.
